Welcome to Botwiki! Hello, Hillgentleman, and welcome to Botwiki, a wiki about bots for Wikimedia Foundation's Projects. It's not a big project and we really appreciate your help. Here everything is far more simple then in WMF's wikis so be bold and don't worry too much. The official language is English but Italian is also widely used (far much then what we would like it to be, as we haven't ported to English everything). Feel free to contact me if you need help. Also, there is the Administrator's noticeboard if you need help from a sysop. Usually the users of this wiki are already experienced wikimedians, so we tend to automatically assume many things, so if something isn't clear, don't worry and ask! Thank you and we hope you stay! In this case I try using something like:

var = u'èòàù'.decode('utf-8')

And usually this works, if it doesn't I replace utf-8 with Latin-1 or I try with encode instead of decode. Let's try! :-) Bye, --Filnik 10:55, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

I am sorry; api.php (e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php ) on which userContribution.py relies, is not installed on aoc.wikia.com . We can try to modify it to make it work with the html from special:recentchanges. -h -20080629172811

I think the issue with api.php is they are using a bit of a custom setup on it... have a look at http://aoc.wikia.com/api.php for some documentation notes on it. Daworm 05:36, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
